Production House is a Chicago-based video production company rooted in the belief that stories have power. Based out of Fort Knox Studios, our team and network of freelancers blends creativity with strategic thinking to craft content that is thoughtful, cinematic, and grounded in universal truths.


Editorial Assistant (Freelance)

Production House is looking for a freelance Editorial Assistant with strong documentary instincts and the ability to build stories from interviews and unscripted footage.

Our work spans sports, music, education, beauty, social justice, and corporate storytelling. The scope of the role will vary based on the project and its complexity.

Depending on the project, the role may include:

• Ingesting, organizing, and syncing footage
• Pulling selects and building stringouts
• Assembling interview-driven rough cuts
• Editing verité and day-in-the-life content
• Taking simpler projects through final delivery

We’re looking for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working independently, and experienced in Premiere Pro.

Rate: $40–50/hour, depending on experience.

Associate Producer (Freelance)

Production House is looking for a freelance Associate Producer to help manage the logistics behind our productions. As our projects continue to grow, we're looking for someone who can take ownership of production logistics and become a trusted producing partner from pre-production through wrap.

Our work spans sports, music, education, beauty, social justice, and corporate storytelling. Some projects are local, while others require travel across the country.

Depending on the project, the role may include:

• Booking crew, travel, and accommodations
• Managing crew communications and production logistics
• Building production schedules and call sheets
• Coordinating equipment and rental needs
• Managing timelines and keeping productions on schedule
• Supporting on-set operations and problem-solving throughout the day
• Handling travel logistics before, during, and after production

We're looking for someone who is organized, proactive, calm under pressure, and an excellent communicator. Experience working on commercial, documentary, or branded productions is preferred.

Rate: $50–60/hour, depending on experience.
