observed
LIKE THE NATURAL WORLD
Starting with hockey, Weekend Warriors explores the people, rituals, rivalries and strange ecosystems that exist wherever people gather to compete.
Our approach combines cinematic documentary storytelling with the energy, humor and accessibility of social-first entertainment.
The business model is simple:
Build an audience through entertaining, highly shareable social storytelling.
Expand that audience through premium documentaries and strategic distribution partnerships.
Monetize the attention through national sponsorships, merchandise and experiences.
Reinvest in new sports, new communities and additional original programming.
Hockey is where we begin.
The world of sports is where we can go.

IN THE WILD
SOCIAL SERIES
A recurring social series featuring a different sports ecosystem every episode.
Each episode drops into a different rink, follows a real game and observes the ecosystem around it.
Two teams.
Two featured players.
One night inside the culture.
The series captures the rituals, personalities, rivalries, friendships and absurdities that make recreational hockey what it is.

FURTHER
The Great Migration follows one team from In the Wild as they leave their local rink and make the journey to the U.S. Pond Hockey Championships.
What begins as a recreational hockey story becomes something bigger.
Friendship. Competition. Aging. Identity. Escape. The need to still have something worth showing up for.
The tournament is the destination.
The people are the story.

START LOCAL | BUILD NATIONAL
IN THE WILD STARTS THE ENGINE
Each episode activates the players, teams and rinks featured in the story, turning every new location into another entry point for the Weekend Warriors audience.
USA HOCKEY EXPANDS THE REACH
Through USA Hockey’s national network, we can extend social content into hockey communities across the country, giving rinks, leagues and teams stories they can share directly with their own audiences.
STRATEGIC DISTRIBUTION PARTNERS
Leverage existing relationships with Archie Gips (Unrealistic Ideas) and Steve Sarowitz (Wayfarer Studios), whose companies have produced acclaimed content for major platforms, to pursue distribution opportunities with Netflix, HBO/Max and Prime Video.
Our priority is maximizing exposure rather than initial licensing revenue, using premium distribution to grow the audience and create greater value through sponsorships, merchandise and future content.
